Good skincare does not start with hype. It starts with understanding. Anyone looking for real results has to move beyond the latest popular serum or whatever is trending online. At Hannah, the focus is never just on the product. It begins with the skin itself. Not with guesswork, but with knowing exactly what the skin needs and why.
Her connection with Hannah started in an unexpected way. For years, Hannah was the main sponsor of Miss Nederland, and that is where the first introduction took place. After winning the title in 2024, she attended an event where the conversation quickly moved beyond the crown.
“Very quickly, the conversation shifted to what else I was doing professionally. At the time, I was working as a business development consultant. Almost immediately, they asked whether I could see myself doing that at Hannah as well, because there was a clear connection.”
At first, she did not say yes straight away. But the idea stayed with her. A few months later, another conversation followed about what both sides could bring to the table. Since then, the collaboration has grown into a meaningful partnership, precisely because Hannah’s vision goes far beyond beauty on the surface.
She had always paid close attention to her skin and to self care in general. But it was only through Hannah that she began to understand the difference between simply using products and truly knowing what they do.
“But it was only when I came into contact with Hannah that I really started to understand what skincare actually means.”
According to her, that is where the real value lies. Not in layering random products because they are popular, but in knowing which product adds something, at the right moment, and for the right reason.
“Once you understand that philosophy, you stop mixing products without thinking. It becomes a real routine where you know exactly why you are using something and what result it is giving you.”
That way of working always starts with an in depth intake. At Hannah, the skin is never viewed in isolation. Lifestyle matters too. Stress levels, nutrition and hydration all influence how the skin behaves, and therefore what a treatment or product can realistically achieve
“Is someone under a lot of stress, are they eating well, are they drinking enough water? Product advice helps, but lifestyle also plays an important role.”
After that conversation comes a skin analysis. Using a skin analyzer, factors such as moisture balance, sebum production, pH values and sensitivity are mapped out. Based on those results, combined with the intake, a tailored plan is created that reflects exactly what the skin needs at that moment.
“That is how we can really create a personal menu that fits your skin.”
This is also where many people get skincare wrong. Instead of building a strong foundation, they follow trends, popular brands or ingredients that are getting attention online. But that says very little about whether a product is actually right for their skin.
“What most people are missing is simply a solid basic routine.”
A product can be heavily hyped and still do very little. Many formulas contain ingredients that have limited effect, or active ingredients that will not deliver results without the right structure and consistency around them.
That does not mean giving everything away. Quite the opposite. At Hannah, skin improvement is built on collaboration between the professional and the client. Treatments in the salon matter, but the real work continues at home.
“It always has to be a collaboration.”
According to her, someone can come in for a treatment every six to eight weeks, but if they are not doing the right things at home, progress will always be limited. Skin improvement requires consistency, discipline and clear expectations on both sides.
“You can visit a skin coach for a treatment, but if you are not using the right products at home, you are basically fighting a losing battle.”
That is why the conversation is never just about what happens in the salon. It is also about what someone is realistically willing to do at home. It is that combination that makes results both achievable and sustainable.
“That is when a real partnership is created, and together you can work towards the best possible result.”
She also sees clear value in that approach for athletes, especially footballers. They spend a lot of time outdoors and deal with wind, rain, cold, sun and changing seasons. That puts constant pressure on the skin and calls for a routine that evolves with those conditions.
In winter, the skin may need more nourishment and repair. In summer, protection from the sun becomes even more important. A good SPF and the right support can make the difference between reactive skincare and preventive skin improvement.
Anyone who works with a fixed skin coach also discovers the value of continuity. Hannah works with around 400 skin coaches across the Netherlands, but according to her, the real strength lies in building a relationship with one professional who truly gets to know your skin.
“If you keep going to the same skin coach, they really get to know your skin inside out. Together, you can work much more precisely towards the result you want to achieve.”
That team mentality also connects naturally to the world of sport. Just like in football, the best results are never achieved alone. You need people around you who guide you, correct you and help you get the very best out of yourself.
“The professional builds the foundation, but after that it is important that you also do the work at home.”
With that approach, Hannah is looking confidently towards the future. The foundation has recently been strengthened again, partly through its rebrand, and the ambition is clear.
“Within five years, it should be impossible to ignore Hannah. When people think of skin improvement, Hannah should be the first name that comes to mind.”
