Following a successful edition of the Life After Football Footvolley event, the group came together once again for a special lunch at HOUSE of GASSAN. The intensity of the tournament had made way for calm, reflection and the pleasure of reuniting the people who had been part of it.

On behalf of Life After Football, GASSAN invited the players to enjoy lunch in a stylish and relaxed setting. Around the table were Orlando Engelaar, Ryan Donk, Demy de Zeeuw, Kevin Strootman and Jeremain Lens. Representing Life After Football were Regi Blinker and Soufian Asafiati. Joining on behalf of GASSAN were Benno Leeser, Dustin Huisman the founder of TROPHY BY GASSAN, Calvin Jong A Pin and Michel Vorm. It was a special group, rich in history, personality and genuine connection.
One of the most memorable moments of the afternoon was the gift from Life After Football in collaboration with TROPHY BY GASSAN. The players received tennis bracelets featuring black diamonds, a stylish and personal gesture that immediately set the tone for the lunch. Elegant, refined and carefully chosen, the gift not only highlighted the partnership, but above all expressed appreciation for the players who took part in the Footvolley tournament.

What made this lunch even more special was the simple fact of coming together again. The event was already behind them, the recordings had been completed and the stories could now be relived in a more relaxed setting. There was laughter, reflection and conversation about the tournament and the energy of that day. The atmosphere was warm and easygoing, with plenty of room for memories, friendship and camaraderie. It felt as though the spirit of the event had instantly returned to the table.
The lunch itself perfectly matched the tone of the afternoon. The table featured charcuterie, insalata caprese and bruschetta with tomato salad, followed by a selection of Italian classics including spaghetti olio peperoni, pappardelle al salmone, spaghetti alla puttanesca and melanzane. The afternoon ended with tiramisu.
Precisely because the event had already taken place, the lunch carried a different meaning. It was not about looking ahead, but about reflecting with the people who had created something special together.
