Luna Nova

brings a new vision of luxury living
to the Marbella countryside

In the hills of Guaro, just outside Marbella, a new residential concept is taking shape. Luna Nova is not simply another high end development on the Costa del Sol. It is a carefully considered lifestyle destination where architecture, interiors, landscaping and branded living come together as one coherent vision.

Developed by Duchess Group, Luna Nova reflects a more contemporary idea of luxury. One that is less about excess and more about space, calm, quality and connection to the environment. Set within a mountain valley in the Sierra de las Nieves UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the project offers panoramic views, privacy and a rare sense of tranquillity, while remaining within easy reach of Marbella and Málaga.

For Duchess Group, the idea became tangible the moment the team visited the site together with designer Eric Kuster. The natural beauty of the landscape, the stillness of the surroundings and the extraordinary views immediately revealed the potential of the location. From there, the vision evolved quickly. HCP Architects was brought in to shape an architectural concept inspired by the timeless language of Andalusian design, while Eichholtz entered the project with the opportunity to create its first branded residence in this setting. That combination gave Luna Nova its distinctive identity.

The development will feature 71 residences, including apartments, penthouses and townhouses, all designed with a strong emphasis on privacy, generous outdoor spaces and uninterrupted sightlines towards the mountains. Although the project was initially planned in multiple phases, strong early demand led to the decision to realise the full development in one phase.

What sets Luna Nova apart is the way every layer of the project has been approached as part of a single story. Architecture, interior design and landscaping are not treated as separate disciplines, but as interconnected elements that shape the full experience of living there. HCP Architects created a built environment that feels deeply rooted in Andalusia, with white façades, natural stone, terracotta influences and a village like composition that responds organically to the steep topography of the site. Rather than resisting the slope, the design embraces it, allowing each home to enjoy a direct visual relationship with the landscape.

Inside, Eric Kuster Metropolitan Luxury translates that architectural language into interiors that feel warm, timeless and effortless. Natural stone floors, oak parquet, hand forged details and tactile fabrics create a mood that is both refined and relaxed. For Kuster, luxury today is no longer defined by display, but by freedom, comfort and quality of life. That philosophy runs throughout Luna Nova. These are interiors designed not only to impress, but to be lived in with ease.

Furniture plays an equally important role in that experience. Through Eichholtz, each residence is offered as part of a fully curated branded living concept, delivered turnkey with carefully composed furniture packages. The idea is not simply to furnish a home, but to create consistency across the entire project, from private residences to the communal spaces. Owners are given room to personalise selected elements, while the overall aesthetic and quality standard remain intact. It is this balance between individuality and coherence that gives the development long term strength.

That same thinking extends outdoors. Landscape designer Erik Knops approached the exterior spaces with the surrounding environment as the starting point. Mediterranean planting, subtle tones, native species and smart water conscious design help create an outdoor experience that feels natural to the setting and attractive throughout the year. Shade, privacy, wind protection and routing have all been carefully considered so that outdoor spaces become part of daily life, not just a visual extra. At the heart of the project, the pool and chiringuito form a green social centre where the different pathways converge in a calm and inviting atmosphere.

Beyond aesthetics, Luna Nova has also been designed with performance and future readiness in mind. Passive climate strategies, high quality local materials, strong thermal performance and efficient systems all contribute to comfort and sustainability. The result is a project that feels timeless in character, yet entirely aligned with the expectations of modern luxury living.

What makes Luna Nova especially compelling is that it does not rely on one signature gesture. Its strength lies in the harmony between all its parts. The architecture respects the land. The interiors reflect the mood of the setting. The landscape extends the story beyond the walls. And together, they create a sense of place that feels rare, considered and deeply desirable.

Luna Nova is not just about buying a home near Marbella. It is about choosing a different rhythm. A different atmosphere. A different way of living.
